Sean Pico
Attorney
Sean grew up in Ashland, Virginia—known locally as the “Center of the Universe”—where service was simply a part of everyday life. One of his grandfathers was a career police officer, and the other served in the Navy. His father is a retired Navy Master Chief, and both of his parents are now schoolteachers. His wife is also a schoolteacher, and his in-laws work in public education as well. Being surrounded by service throughout his life had a significant impact on Sean and played a major role in his decision to pursue a career in estate planning.
Sean further developed his legal experience while clerking for the Honorable L. A. Harris, Jr.—for whom the Henrico County Courthouse is now named—and the Honorable Rondelle Herman in the Henrico County Circuit Court.
Growing up, Sean spent most of his time playing sports—baseball, football, and wrestling—and eventually went on to play baseball at Longwood University. Being part of a team for so many years shaped how he approaches life today, especially when it comes to communication, accountability, and working toward a common goal.
Sean brings that same mindset to his work with clients. He understands that estate planning can feel overwhelming, so he focuses on keeping the process clear, straightforward, and comfortable for the people he serves.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys coaching baseball, tackling home projects with his wife, and spending time with their two labs, River and Steel. When he gets the chance, he likes to sneak in a round of golf. Sean and his wife, Erin, are expecting their first child in May 2026.
