Adam R. Hill

Adam was raised in Nashville, Tennessee to a father who hailed from Texas and a mother who grew up in DC and New York. Not long after becoming an attorney, Adam experienced the death of his younger brother, his best friend, who had spent years studying to become a monk in India. That loss pulled Adam into a year-long mission to deposit his brother’s remains at a unique cave hidden deep in the Himalayan mountains. Successfully navigating unfamiliar lands, impossible bureaucratic protocols, and oppositional Chinese authorities solidified Adam’s belief in the protective power of prayer. With his brother’s remains safely deposited, Adam returned to the practice of law, bringing with him a newfound compassion for those dealing with family loss.

Adam’s legal work has circled around caring for families who are dealing with incapacity, grief and personal loss. His work in probate court helps alleviate the stresses of court-related appearances during a time which is best devoted to personal recovery.

Adam lives with his wife and daughter in Richmond, where he is active in the local tennis scene. Adam and his wife enthusiastically bring their daughter to the largest roller coaster parks they can find. Adam’s favorite moment is sprinting back to the start of the line to catch the next ride with his daughter.
